Healing From Trauma

Trauma can have a profound and lasting impact on both our mental and physical well-being.

When we experience traumatic events, our brains and bodies respond by activating the "fight-or-flight" response, often leaving us in a heightened state of alertness.

Over time, this can disrupt our emotional regulation, leading to anxiety, depression, and difficulty forming or maintaining relationships.

Trauma can also manifest physically, contributing to pain, sleep disturbances, or other health issues.

The long-term effects of trauma may not always be visible but can deeply influence how we perceive ourselves, engage with others, and experience the world around us.

What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapy that helps people heal from traumatic experiences by allowing the brain to reprocess painful memories in a healthier way.

What is IFS?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts" or sub-personalities, each with its own feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

These parts interact with each other like members of a family. Some parts may be vulnerable-like an inner child, while others might take on protective roles, like the critic or the perfectionist.
