What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapy that helps people heal from traumatic experiences by allowing the brain to reprocess painful memories in a healthier way.
When something traumatic happens, the brain can get "stuck," causing emotional pain and distress.
EMDR involves guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation that help the brain reprocess these stuck memories, with the intention of bringing new meaning to old wounds.

Over time, EMDR can lead to lasting relief from the intense emotional effects of trauma. People often find that their trauma feels less overwhelming, their negative beliefs about themselves begin to shift, and they can move forward with a greater sense of peace and resilience.
What is IFS?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts" or sub-personalities, each with its own feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.
These parts interact with each other like members of a family.
Some parts may be vulnerable-like an inner child, while others might take on protective roles, like the critic or the perfectionist.
The goal of IFS therapy is to help you get to know these parts, understand their roles, and be equipt to heal any internal conflicts.

A key concept in IFS is that everyone has a core self—this self is calm, compassionate, and wise.
